Something that I don’t talk about very often on the blog is Fantasy Football.
Because, let’s face it, I have very few fantasies about football.
This, however, deserves to be noted.
Back in our college days, circa 2006, my husband joined a Fantasy league with some friends and needed to pick a username. Not wanting to go the usual cliche favorite team pun route (or, more likely, not wanting to put much thought into it), he named his team TropicalStormErnesto after a storm that was all over the news at the time.
Since then, he has joined other leagues, still using the same goofy name despite the fact that Tropical Storm Ernesto was rather unmemorable and had nothing to do with sports.
Now, six years later, it’s baaaack:
(The screenshot that I wanted to put here keeps disappearing when I publish the post, so this will have to suffice.)
We didn’t know that they reused storm names, but we’re sure glad they picked this one to come back around. If you ask me, this calls for a celebratory milkshake.
