Merry Christmas from the Angle family! Hope you are all enjoying time with family and rejoicing in Christ’s coming and the hope it brings us!
(Pictures compliments of my talented mother-in-law)
I realize that it’s a little strange to be doing a Halloween post days before Christmas, but I realized that I never shared pictures of Hudson in his costume, so here we are.
I had full intentions of making his costume myself, but when I found this little lion getup at a consignment sale, I couldn’t pass it up. I love lions (my name means Lioness of God- yes, I know that’s weird), and this thing was just so stinkin snuggly!
Here’s our sweet little man celebrating his first Halloween:
One of the things we love about our new town is that they are always hosting community events. The businesses on our Main Street hosted a trick or treat for families, and we had a great time walking around with some friends and their little girl. Not only was this Hudson’s first time trick-or-treating, it was mine too! We both had a great time. :)
Yes, that is the bag for the nursing cover in my hand. Yes, I was using it as Hudson’s trick-or-treat bag. Yes, I was an unprepared trick-or-treating newb. Lesson learned. :)
Enjoy your last-minute Christmas preparations!
And the photo dump continues! Picking up where we left off:
Please enjoy the progression of the next three photos. (Please also excuse the goofy camera angle.)
Makes us laugh every time.
Our phones are filled with lots of riveting pictures like this one of the garage roof, all so we can take them to Home Depot/Lowes/ various tradespeople and ask, “How do I fix this and what’s it going to cost me?”
Hope you’ve enjoyed this little roundup from the randomness that is life through the phone!
More phone dump pictures soon to come, but for now I thought I’d share a little video of what’s been going on around here over the past week. (Please excuse the upsidedownness of the video halfway through- Zach’s not so used to the Flip cam)
He thinks he’s big stuff. And he kind of is! We’re still in the process of scratching our heads and wondering where our tiny baby went…which I think we might be doing for the next 20something years. The crawling has been progressing for a while, but the standing sure did seem to come out of the blue. On the flip side, it’s so much fun to watch him explore in a new way.
Oh, hello, December.
Let’s cut to the chase- I haven’t blogged in 50 million years because our computer bit the dust. Yes, the computer that contains basically every picture I have taken of this sweet baby boy in his first seven months of life. The computer has been replaced, and we have a friend who says he can rescue our pictures, so I am holding off on the freak-out.
But, here we are. Remember when I thought I was going to be able to give you a play-by-play of all of the renovations as they happened? HA! Clearly wishful thinking. Instead, I’ll attempt to catch you up on life around here.
Zach recently uploaded all of his phone pictures to the new computer, and it was so much fun to look through them and remember the past year (plus a few months). It certainly has been a whirlwind! So, here come lots of pictures:
39 weeks- the last of the belly shots. When I saw this the other day, it absolutely made me gasp. That. belly. is. HUGE!!! Crazy how quickly I’ve forgotten this stage (there’s probably a reason for that).
Tiny baby. That sweet little hand!
2 weeks old, first trip to Waffle House. He is his father’s son.
When our baby was 2 weeks old, this is what our kitchen was looking like. At the time, it was just life. Now, this picture sort of gives me heart palpitations. Thankful for God’s grace in getting us through the craziness!
Love this little man.
For the ladies. :)
More to come! In the meantime, happy weekend!
